Travel towels and their advantages

When I went travelling for the first time I didn't pay much attention to the towel that I should be taking. This was a mistake and caused me some troubles. Now I wouldn't think of going travelling without one or two travel towels. You should really think about getting yours before you leave.

My older brother went travelling when I was young and I do remember him having one of those travel towels. I couldn't understand why. They didn't look like they could dry anything and looked like a tea towel. Not just any tea towel one that was about 10 times more expensive! I knew that I wouldn't be able to dry myself in that.

I hadn't been told about the importance of travel towels when I went abroad with my mates to do a bit of trekking. I took a large beach towel. Yes it sounds silly now but I didn't know how unsuitable it would be for the job. It didn't take long for it to start to smell because it wouldn't dry properly. It seemed to take more room up each time I had put it in my bag and was heavy.

If I had a travel towel then I wouldn't have had any of the problems that I have just described. While they dry you very well because of the extremely absorbent material that they use, they dry themselves very quickly too. This means that when you don't have much time to dry for towel between stops it is less likely to smell. When you are keeping all of your things in the same bag then this is very important.

Lack of room is always a problem for people that travel. Everything that they have they take everywhere with them. Travel towels don't take up space like normal towels so will save you a great deal of hassle and leave you with more room for souvenirs.
